Srinagar, July 17 (KNO) : On eve of International Justice Day, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has repeated its appeal to the justice loving people of the world to raise their voice against the illegal detention of JKDFP chief Shabir Shah and other political prisoners of Kashmir, lodged in and outside the state jails. The party as per a statement issued to KNO said that Shabir Shah is being punished only for advocating political rights of the people of Jammu Kashmir, so his continuous imprisonment is nothing but political vendetta.  The spokesperson said that Shabir Shah and other Kashmiri political prisoners are not even being heard in the judiciary which has made the situation more complicated for them. Shabir Shah was taken to court on 12th July for hearing but the concerned judge was on leave and the other available judge refused to hear the case. Not even the order for video conference was passed and senior resistance leader of Kashmir was returned back to Tihar jail. As it was so hot, Shabir Shah vomited twice in the bus in which he was transported, he added. The spokesperson said that Shabir Shah’s health has deteriorated to an alarming level and the irony is that he is not being provided suitable treatment despite many court directions. Same is the case with other Kashmiri prisoners who are facing baseless and fabricated charges like Shabir Shah, he added.(KNO)
